The Diabetes Epidemic America

The Epidemic of Diabetes

Worldwide Diabetes EpidemicThe National Institutes of Health reports there are 29.1 million people living with  diabetes.  That makes it about 9% of the population that is afflicted with diabetes (types 1 & 2).  Alarmingly, diabetes in young people is increasing (1.8% increase in type 1, and 4.8% increase in type 2 diabetes cases).   This drastic increase of diabetes (especially type II) represents an unfortunate diabetes epidemic America.  You can read the full report at nih.gov. In reading this article, you will see we have a

Diabetes Epidemic America!

The National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases estimates that 30.3 million, or 9.4% of the population have diabetes, and about one in four people with diabetes don’t know they have the disease. An estimated 84.1 million Americans aged 18 years or older have pre-diabetes.  Other estimations reach as high as 86 million Americans in 2012.

From a new report from the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.  “… the number of Americans with diabetes continues to rise”.   Over 12% of adult Americans are estimated to have diabetes.  More than a third of those aged 20 and over in the U.S. are now thought to have prediabetes.  As published on 12 June 2014 by Catharine Paddock PhD in Medical News Today.

Is this an American or World Wide Problem?

From the World Health Organization (WHO) we get. “The percentage of adults living with diabetes worldwide grew from 4.7% in 1980 to 8.5% in 2014. Overall, there was a nearly four-fold increase in worldwide cases.  An estimated 422 million adults were living with diabetes in 2014, up from 108 million in 1980″.  The diabetes epidemic is not world wide, and not confined to the U.S.

These are just a few examples of the rampant nature of the disease.   I am certain I could find many more examples, but I stayed with just these to keep from panicking you.  You might now have a question in your mind like “what can we do”?

Oh my, What should we Do?

My doctor said I was afflicted with a chronic disease.  I would not able to reverse it through medicine or drugs.  As I began my crusade to find a way to cure or reverse it, destiny or the good lord stepped in.   I forged a partnership with someone that turned out to be an expert in natural healing and nutrition.  I credit her with saving my life.  Through natural methods, she helped me to completely reverse my diabetes.

New and old diabetics alike can read about, and learn how I became naturally diabetes free.  If desire and motivation are yours, you too can also beat diabetes the natural way.  Specifically I intend to provide possible natural type 2 diabetes treatments.  As a former type 2 diabetic, I would often search the internet for a diabetes free foods list and other natural treatments for type 2 diabetes.

Bringing honor for the help from my expert, and partly because I’ve “been there done that”.  I dedicate this site is to answering the many questions about becoming naturally diabetes free.  Please visit another of my articles Symptoms and Signs of Diabetes to learn how to tell if you are one of the 110 million affected. And I will share my own formula for my natural cure for type 2 diabetes.  We have a diabetes epidemic America, so please help by sharing this site with like minded people.

Of course, if you want to keep taking your drugs, at least get as much discount as you can.

About author:

Hello, My name is Jay and I'm a 'former' type 2 diabetic. I suffered like most diabetics for years, taking dangerous drugs to "manage" by blood sugar levels, and trying to find foods that wouldn't kill me. That is until I completely reversed my diabetes the natural way, through diet, exercise, and vitamins. It is my intent to help other diabetics learn how to do the same. Please take your time reading, and enjoy. Much Love! Jay

That is right Lee, it isn’t just an epidemic in the U.S. but a worldwide epidemic. That 9% seems quite like other countries I have noted, and that may not even be the whole problem. I now have another curiosity, checking the medical practices in the UK to see if they match those of the U.S.
Thanks for the comment, and I pray you don’t fall victim.

Hi Jay, I’m from the UK and it is an ever growing concern over here too, with an estimated 9% of the population having diabetes.

I’m really glad to hear that you have overcome your own case of diabetes in a natural way and now sharing it with others.
